Patrick Dubus, 21, is back in Athens as a senior after two years in Missouri.
Dubus was born on June 14, 1989 in Washington, D.C., to family of five. At the age of eight, his family moved to Dunwoody, Georgia, where he remained until leaving for college. While in Dunwoody, Dubus covered sports for the Dunwoody Crier, in addition to being the sports editor for his high school newspaper at St. Pius. He also ran track and cross-country.
After high school, Dubus attended the University of Missouri for two years, where he studied journalism. He returned to Georgia for his junior year because he said he, “Couldn’t pass up a chance to live in Athens.”
Dubus is working on a dual-major in sports management and publication management. The publication management major serves to broaden his skill set, as Dubus would ideally like to go into the sports management field. His goals include working for a collegiate sports organization.
