Johnson: Still finding things out

Lane Johnson doesn’t know exactly what it is she wants to do when she graduates from school, but she does know that it will hopefully include the things that she is passionate about, writing, photography and International affairs.

Johnson’s hometown is St. Simons Island and her focus at the University of Georgia (UGA), where she is currently enrolled as a junior, is a double major in magazines and International affairs.

Although she doesn’t have much experience in the field of journalism, Johnson did work as the yearbook editor at Frederica High School and during the summer worked at a photography studio close to home.

Johnson is currently trying to focus on school and is hoping that her collegiate experience will point her in the direction of clearer career goals. Although she is still discovering these talents, she does know that she wants to eventually land a photo-related job.

“I also enjoy International affairs,” Johnson said. “So I would like to maybe one day work at the State Department.”

One interesting fact that Johnson says about herself is that she can “say the alphabet backwards - a bit too quickly,” said Johnson with a laugh.
