Ashlee Culverhouse Story

SLUG: Photography 101: Tips to Improve Your Digital Point-and-Shoot Photography

SUMMARY: A very basic feature article outlining tips and techniques to help teens interested in photography get the most out of their basic point-and-shoot camera. I want to share a few tips that I have learned in my Photojournalism class, like the rule-of-thirds. I also want to briefly describe certain camera functions and settings and when to use them. I really want to emphasize the importance of practice, especially since we're out of the film age and you have nothing to lose by shooting a million photographs to get one good one.
