Teen Nutrition

This article will explore various nutrition problems that teens face in high school and coming into college including anemia, obesity, allergies and other issues. It will also provide suggestions on what teenagers can do every day to recognize and prevent common nutrition problems.

Katherine Ingerson, a registered dietitian for the Food Services Association at the University of Georgia, will provide information on the types of issues she sees in students and what steps can be taken to prevent and manage these problems. I will also interview nutrition and food science teachers in local high schools to get their perspective on teen nutrition.

Ashlee Culverhouse will edit this article.
